Favorite Film and Book

For this part, I have to talk about my favorite film, and my favorite book. So I'll talk about the film "Bullet Train", and the book "Salina, the three exiles"
Let's Start :

Bullet Train

The film came out in 2022, produced by David Leitch, and memes about it were already everywhere on the internet.
The plot is about five hitmen entering the fastest Japanese train where each of them has the same mission, "collect an important briefcase that is in the train". The problem is that they aren't in the same team. so they have to fight each other to keep the briefcase.
The protagonist of the film is ladybug, one of the 5 hitmen who is known for having an incredible luck, even though he doesn't believe in chance, and is very pessimistic. And he is played by Brad Pitt.
The film is carried by wonderful light and color effects, iconic scenes, fun characters, funny interactions between them even if they want to kill each other, and all that without ruining the feeling of hostility that they give off. The whole film is hilarious and it gives somehow an energy similar to Deadpool's films.

Salina, the three exiles

Salina, the Three Exiles is a novel written by the French author Laurent Gaudé in 2003, and it's also the book I presented for my French oral exam in "première." The story was truly interesting, so it had to be the one I chose to discuss (also because I don't read that much).
The story takes place in a tribe living in an unknown location. We follow Salina's journey, a girl marginalized by the rest of the tribe because, in fact, she doesn't belong to them. She was brought to the village by an unknown horse rider, and no one wanted to take care of her, except one woman who raised her as her daughter.
But after her adoptive mother's death, Salina was left alone and dishonored by the rest of the tribe.
Throughout the story, she has three children: she hates the first one because he was born from her rape, and he also hates her for not being a good mother (he later becomes a very powerful warrior). The second child is born from her hatred toward the tribe and her thirst for revenge; she gives birth to him in only 9 days, and he is already a formidable warrior whose mission is to kill those who dishonored his mother. The last child is the only one raised normally, and he is the one who will honor her after her death.
The book is captivating because we can feel the character's emotions, particularly her hatred. It also incorporates elements of the fantastical in some parts.
